Fifteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
Creator of all things,
open our eyes to see the beauty in all people, in all places, at all times.
We pray to the Lord.
God of Justice,
open our ears to hear the cry of the poor,
the pleading of our abused,
the sobs of all who are outcast, bullied and trafficked.
We pray to the Lord.
Holy one,
unleash your spirit in us
to embrace our gifts, talents and opportunities.
May we always live in the glorious freedom of the children of God.
We pray to the Lord.
Lord of the Dance
Unbind our limbs and release your song.
Let each of our days be directed
to singing your praise, walking in your ways
and sharing the joy of the gospel to all we meet.
We pray to the Lord.
Voice of the oppressed,
unsilence our voices.
Give us courage to proclaim truth in the halls of power,
And justice for those held bound
by bigotry, racism, sexism, classism, homophobia
And all the sins that entrap bodies, spirits and souls.
We pray to the Lord.
All – powerful Lord,
Purify your world and our hearts.
Cleanse us of vanity, hypocrisy, and the quest for power,
Preferring compassion and humility.
God of the living and the dead,
gather to yourself (Insert Names)
all who have died in the peace of Christ,
and all the dead whose faith is known to you alone.
We pray to the Lord.
