The proper technique for singing vowels differs from how we speak vowels. In this video, Steve Petrunak introduces the basics of good vowel formation, which leads to a more uniform sound in ensemble and choral singing.

Steve Petrunak is a founding board member of CLEF and retired director of music from St. Blase Catholic Church in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Steve has worked in music ministry for more than 50 years and is the co-author of “Managing Music Ministry: Beyond Notes and Chords.”
