Twenty – Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time

For the Church,
may we respond to the Lord’s nurturing
and grow in ways God intends.
We pray to the Lord.

For leaders in our world, state, community and church,
may their hearts be guided by all that is true, honorable and just.
We pray to the Lord.

For a respect for all life
from conception to natural death.
For an end to abortion, capital punishment and war.
We pray to the Lord.

For an end to bitterness, competition and materialism,
for hope, collaboration and hearts committed to the Lord.
We pray to the Lord.

For all who are anxious, sorrowful, or find life burdensome,
may the peace of God which surpasses all understanding
guard their hearts and minds.
We pray to the Lord.

For courage to sow love where there is hatred,
faith, where there is doubt
and light where there is darkness.
We pray to the Lord.

For those who now sleep in the peace of death,
we remember (Insert Names).
May Christ gather them to himself.
We pray to the Lord.
