Twenty – SIxth Sunday in Ordinary Time

May our Church be a people filled with compassion and mercy,
with hearts and minds united in love.
We pray to the Lord.

May our world be transformed by justice,
that hardened hearts may give way to empathy,
and closed minds may be opened to growth.
We pray to the Lord.

May peace permeate places of violence, war and terrorism.
We remain mindful of our sisters and brothers,
in Haiti, Ukraine, Sudan, Lebanon, Gaza and throughout the Middle East.
We pray to the Lord.

May our words and our actions call forth and build up
the goodness, talents and blessings of each other.
We pray to the Lord.

May selfishness and vanity cease.
May we care for the interests of others, not just our own.
We pray to the Lord.

May we have the humility to admit our sins and sinfulness
and the strength and grace to change our lives.
We pray to the Lord.

For all who have died,
