Twenty – Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time

For our Church,
may we extravagantly invite all people
to share in the feast of our Lord.
We pray to the Lord.

For our sisters and brothers,
who this day know more of hunger than abundance
know more poverty than wealth,
know more hate than love.
We pray to the Lord.

For those who live in fear of violence,
for those who risk abuse and brutality,
for freedom and security
We pray to the Lord.

For calm in our busyness,
for peace in our work,
for a willingness to let God guide our daily lives.
We pray to the Lord.

For a respect for the life of all people,
for those who live with differing abilities,
chronic health problems or mental illness,
for grace from God and compassion from others.
We pray to the Lord.

For hearts open to the banquet of the Lord,
for a yearning for the food which satisfies,
for a love which includes all people, unconditionally.
We pray to the Lord.

For all who have gone before us marked with the sign of faith,
for (Insert Names),
may they now rejoice at the heavenly banquet.
We pray to the Lord.
