O Spirit, empower your Church.
to bring glad tidings to our poor,
to heal the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives
and release to the prisoners.
We pray to the Lord.
For peace between nations
For the Ukraine, the Holy Land and all places of war and terror,
We pray to the Lord.
For all bound by addictions’ chains or the shackles of human trafficking.
For all who are burdened by unemployment or underemployment.
For all who today struggle to find food, shelter and warmth.
We pray to the Lord.
For postal carriers and all who deliver our packages,
For workers in restaurants and retails stores
For all who help us prepare your way.
We pray to the Lord.
For a rebirth of integrity, of honesty, of forgiveness,
For compassion for each other.
We pray to the Lord.
For a year of favor, O generous God,
For joy in place of sorrow
For laughter instead of tears
For hope instead of a listless spirit.
We pray to the Lord.
