O Emmanuel,
teach your Church to trust in your mysterious ways
and may our actions do your will.
We pray to the Lord.
Turn our hearts to the needs of our poor,
lowly, unemployed and lost.
We pray to the Lord
Guide all peoples of the earth
to respect life and work for peace.
We pray to the Lord.
Draw near to those who are bullied,
whose hearts are broken by loneliness,
and all who in anger and frustration turn to violence.
We pray to the Lord
We are mindful of women who are pregnant,
especially our single mothers in need of support,
for health care, for community, for a safe delivery.
We pray to the Lord.
Be with us, O Wisdom, as we walk this Advent journey.
In our joys and struggles may we know your gentle presence in our lives.
We pray to the Lord.
May all who have died,
