Sixth Sunday of Easter

Sixth Sunday of Easter

May the Church loudly and courageously proclaim respect for all life
to those who boast of prejudice, vengeance and hatred.
We pray to the Lord.

May peace overpower war,
May love triumph over hatred and despair,
May the Light of the Lamb of God eclipse the darkness of sin and death.
We pray to the Lord.

May refugees and immigrants find a home,
May our hungry and poor know clean water and food,
May all who struggle be wrapped a mantle of love and safety.
We pray to the Lord.

May we have ears to hear the wisdom of others,
And the voice of God in the dialogue of community.
We pray to the Lord.

May our prayer lead us
To be compassionate with all who struggle, strive for justice,
and give witness to Christ by the actions of our lives.
We pray to the Lord.

May all who experience the bitterness of betrayal,
The pain of divorce, or the insult of bullying
Find the Lord’s peace that is beyond all understanding.
We pray to the Lord.

May we listen to God speaking in our hearts,
And live the gospel in new ways as the Spirit moves us.
We pray to the Lord.

May (Insert Names)
Those who have offered their lives for freedom and justice,
And all who have died,
live in peace in the new and eternal Jerusalem.
We pray to the Lord.
