Prayer of the Faithful for the Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time (Cycle B)
For our Church,
May we turn to the Lord in openness and faith,
seeking healing and wholeness,
We pray to the Lord.
For an end to terror, violence and hatred
In our homes, our nation and throughout our world,
We pray to the Lord.
For dignity for all people
For respect for the ill, differently-abled and elderly,
For eyes to see the beauty of each person,
We pray to the Lord.
For married couples,
May the love of God bind their hearts together,
May the Holy Spirit strengthen their vows
May they love and honor each other every day of their lives,
We pray to the Lord.
For families struggling with divorce and separation,
For peace, truth, mercy, forgiveness and understanding,
We pray to the Lord.
For our sisters and brothers who are lonely or alone,
For all who struggle with bullying, harassment or victimization,
For those suffer with depression,
We pray to the Lord.
For doctors, nurses, and EMT’s
For all who work in assisted living centers and nursing homes,
For all who care for our sick and those needing special help,
We pray to the Lord.
For (insert names)
And all the dead, whose faith only God can know,
We pray to the Lord.
