Fifth Sunday of Easter

Fifth Sunday of Easter

By Baptism we are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation;
may we announce the praises of God,
who called us out of darkness into his wonderful light.
We pray to the Lord.

Because malice and spite continue to spread,
may world leaders guide their nations
in ways of justice and understanding.
We pray to the Lord.

For peace in our world, in our nation, in our family, and in our hearts.
We pray to the Lord.

End prejudice, eradicate bigotry, transform discrimination
that all people may live
in the glorious freedom of the children of God.
We pray to the Lord.

Help us to remain mindful of our sisters and brothers,
who today awaken hungry or thirsty or without housing.
Guide us to share our resources and advocate for their needs.
We pray to the Lord.

Renew our commitment to life, despite all its struggles,
in all its beautiful diversity,
from conception to natural death. We pray to the Lord.

Do not let our hearts be troubled,
and lead us from the valley of despair.
Open our eyes
to your grace, love and power alive in our world.
We pray to the Lord.

Gently lead our beloved dead to your reign of peace and truth.
We remember (Insert Names).
We pray to the Lord.
