Sixth Sunday of Easter
For your Church, O Lord, we pray, sanctify us.
May we always be rooted in hope
and ready to proclaim you as the cause for our joy.
We pray to the Lord.
For peace, for justice,
for all who are afflicted by war
or the unbridled quest for power and control.
We pray to the Lord.
For those who suffer for doing good,
for those who raise their voices for freedom and truth,
for prisoners of conscience throughout the world.
We pray to the Lord.
For immigrants, for refugees, for all who seek safety and a homeland. We pray to the Lord.
For those who live in violence, hatred or self-serving greed and dominance,
may their lives be transformed by the love of God.
We pray to the Lord.
For ears to hear the call to serve,
especially with all who are ill or hungry,
paralyzed by fear,
or crippled in body, mind or spirit. We pray to the Lord.
For artists and musicians,
for writers and poets
for all who awaken our hearts to the Spirit of beauty and truth.
We pray to the Lord.
For all who have died,

may they now rest in the love of Christ.
