Ensuring Good Diction in Singing

Diction, diction, diction! Good diction in singing is one of the most critical skills needed for singers, whether singing as an individual cantor or in a small ensemble or a large choir. Without good diction in singing, the assembly can’t understand the words and the message of the song. In this video, Steve Petrunak teaches principles of good diction using the song “Drawn to You” by Sarah Hart.

It may be helpful for you to follow along using a copy of the song from a hymnal or from the OCP website.
