Second Sunday of Advent – Cycle C
Let our Church cry out for mercy and unconditional acceptance of all.
We pray to the Lord.
May nations embrace a vision of peace, works of justice
and respect for people of every land and language.
We pray to the Lord.
When our homeless, hopeless and heartless seek comfort,
We pray to the Lord.
As fear threatens to undermine the gospel,
And terror blinds people to Christ’s way of love,
We pray to the Lord.
When we repent of our hard heartedness,
Bigotry and self-righteousness,
We pray to the Lord.
May our world discern what is truly of value,
And may love increase ever more and more.
We pray to the Lord.
When our beloved dead,
(Insert names)
Return home,
We pray to the Lord.
