Twenty – Second Sunday in Ordinary Time
Remove from our Church any semblance of hypocrisy or vanity.
Guide us to care for our poor and give voice to all who cry for justice.
We pray to the Lord.
End violence in our world, be in speech or action.
We pray to the Lord.
Reach deep into human hearts and remove all evil that finds a home there:
Greed, malice, deceit, arrogance and envy.
We pray to the Lord.
May our faith be rooted deep within us and not in external trappings.
We pray to the Lord.
Teach us to be doers of your word, and not hearers only
We pray to the Lord.
Send your Spirit in abundance on school administrators, counselors,
teachers and students.
Protect all who study away from home and family.
May they grow in wisdom and knowledge.
We pray to the Lord.
For all who labor in factory and field,
In offices, schools, health care facilities and retail stores,
For those who transport our goods, guide our planes, deliver our mail
and all who work for our communities,
For dignity, health care, just wages and safe working conditions.
We pray to the Lord.
May those who have died,
(Insert Names)
now sing with the angels in the city of the living God.
We pray to the Lord.
