Twenty-Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time
For prophets and teachers in the Church,
make us open to hear words of wisdom, challenge and truth.
We pray to the Lord.
For world leaders,
may they look beyond myopic nationalism and work for the common good of all people.e.
We pray to the Lord.
For those we have marginalized
because of illness, ethnic background, orientation or economic status,
may all be welcomed as brothers and sisters.
We pray to the Lord.
For an end to all that opposes life: abortion, war, capital punishment and poverty.
We pray to the Lord.
For trust and hope in the power of God,
for a willingness to live and proclaim the gospel of love,
whether convenient or inconvenient.
We pray to the Lord.
For peace in our hearts, actions and communities,
for an end to violence in our speech, attitudes and actions.
We pray to the Lord.
For all who have died,
