Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time
For our Church,
For eyes to see truth,
For ears to hear the cry of the poor,
For hands open to the needs of all people.
We pray to the Lord.
For refugees seeking a home,
For parents and their children,
For those bearing burdens of illness and suffering,
For hearts hardened to their pleading.
We pray to the Lord.
For a respect for life,
For the not yet born,
For our hungry and homeless,
For our sisters and brothers who face bigotry and discrimination,
For those considered differently abled,
For all denied equality, justice and safety.
We pray to the Lord.
For joy in place of sorrow, for harmony in times of uproar,
For hope when faced with discouragement and suffering.
We pray to the Lord.
For bishops, priests, deacons, lay ecclesial ministers
and all who minister in our diocese.
For wisdom and discernment,
for courage to preach truth,
for solace when the day is done.
We pray to the Lord.
For a willingness to reach out to all who need a word of love, peace or acceptance.
We pray to the Lord.
For (Insert Names)
And all who have died.
We pray to the Lord.
