Prayer of the Faithful for the Third Sunday in Ordinary Time (Cycle B)
For our Church
May we be people of mercy, love and care,
We pray to the Lord.
May words of peace
Overpower the cries of violence and shouts of aggression,
We remain mindful of our sisters and brothers in Ukraine, the Holy Land,
And all places of war and terror.
We pray to the Lord.
For eyes to see our sins and shortcomings
And integrity to embrace repentance and conversion,
We pray to the Lord.
May people have an openness to listen to the worries and joys,
Concerns and struggles of others.
We pray to the Lord.
For a respect for all life, from conception to natural death,
We pray to the Lord.
May we have the courage to drop nets of selfishness and fear
and hear Jesus’ call to follow him
We pray to the Lord.
For our beloved dead,
May they rise again in the new and eternal Jerusalem
