Third Sunday in Ordinary Time
For the Church
May we seek unity, not uniformity,
creativity, not rigidity,
proclaiming the Gospel in every land.
We pray to the Lord.
For all who this day know more fear than freedom,
for all who live on death row
or in poverty, or in detainment centers.
We pray to the Lord.
For our government leaders,
may they respect and celebrate diversity,
resolve to care for our suffering and powerless and less fortunate,
and work for justice and peace in our world.
We pray to the Lord.
For children without parents,
for seniors without family,
for all who feel unloved or lonely.
We pray to the Lord.
For prisoners of conscience,
for victims of human trafficking
for lives constrained, controlled, or abused.
We pray to the Lord.
For courage to abandon our comfortable lives in order to follow Jesus,
for a willingness to sacrifice for the common good.
We pray to the Lord.
For those who have entered the shadow of death,
may they live now in the light of Christ.
We remember (Insert Names).
We pray to the Lord.
Prayer of the Faithful content may be used in whole or in part as part of the liturgy at any church, but they may not be copied and published online without prior written permission.
