Solemnity of the Ascension

For our Church,
may the eyes of our hearts be enlightened,
that we may know the hope that belongs to Christ’s call.
We pray to the Lord.

For those with civil authority,
for wisdom, insight and compassion for all in need.
We pray to the Lord.

For all who are unwilling to make the conversion necessary
to become a disciple of Jesus.
We pray to the Lord.

For peace,
for victims of war and terrorism. We pray to the Lord.

For all who celebrated the Easter Sacraments,
may they be strengthened in their faith,
find support in community
and boldly proclaim the Good News of Christ to all they meet.
We pray to the Lord.

For a willingness to share joy we have in the gospel,
to sacrifice,
to offer our lives in love.. We pray to the Lord.

For trust in the mysterious ways of God,
for an openness to a Spirit of wisdom and revelation.
We pray to the Lord.

For all who have died in the peace of Christ,
for (Insert Names),
may they find in God’s presence light and happiness.
We pray to the Lord.
