Sixteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

For a Church overflowing with mercy, love and compassion.
We pray to the Lord.

For a spirit of welcome and service,
For open hearts for refugees, immigrants
and all who travel or seek a homeland.
We pray to the Lord.

For our sisters and brothers in Ukraine, Sudan, Haiti, the Middle East,
For all who live in places of war, terror and violence.
We pray to the Lord.

For construction workers, landscapers, electricians
and all who work for our common beauty and safety,
may they receive just wages and blessings for their labors.
We pray to the Lord.

For a willingness to reprioritize our lives,
Seeking first the Lord in all things
And serving others in generosity of spirit.
We pray to the Lord.

For our parish,
May we truly be a welcoming Catholic Community,
Where the love of Jesus Christ is learned and lived, sung and shared.
We pray to the Lord.

For all who have died,

May they live in the new and eternal Jerusalem.
