Nineteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

For our Church,
may we be a shelter in times of struggle
and a place of challenge in times of complacency.
We pray to the Lord.

For our world,
for unity without uniformity,
for a willingness to work together for the common good,
for peace with justice.
We pray to the Lord.

For couples expecting a child, and for those who are trying to conceive,
for those who have just fallen in love,
and those who struggle in the shadow of divorce,
for the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit.
We pray to the Lord.

For farmers, migrant workers and all who work the land,
for fishermen and all whose work are the lakes and sea,
for a spirit of care for our earth.
We pray to the Lord.

For a deepening of faith,
for eyes, heart and minds fixed on Jesus.
We pray to the Lord.

For a willingness to accept change and growth on our journeys;
for ears to hear the gentle voice of God.
For tranquility and trust in the face of difficulty and decision.
We pray to the Lord.
