Fourth Sunday of Lent

Prayer of the Faithful for the Fourth Sunday of Lent (Cycle B)

For our Church,
May we live as God’s handiwork,
And model forgiveness and mercy to others,
We pray to the Lord.

For power permeated by truth,
For leaders filled with compassion,
For a world bathed in love rooted in God,
We pray to the Lord.

For eyes to discern to wickedness cloaked in deceit,
For hearts rent asunder by justice,
For grace,
We pray to the Lord.

For victims of kidnapping, rape and torture,
For our sister and brothers, who suffer today with hunger and thirst,
We pray to the Lord.

For a renewal of love throughout the world,
For an end to discrimination, bigotry, war and violence,
For an end to evil in all its forms.
We pray to the Lord.

For openness to embrace our brokenness
and allow hope and healing to transform our lives,
We pray to the Lord.

For all who have died,
For (insert names)
We pray to the Lord.
