Prayer of the Faithful for the Fifth Sunday of Lent (Cycle B)
For the Church,
May we be willing to die to all that is not the gospel,
That we may rise and produce much fruit,
We pray to the Lord.
For power permeated by truth,
For leaders filled with compassion,
For a world bathed in love rooted in God,
We pray to the Lord.
For our sisters and brothers bound by fear or shackled poverty.
For all unable to live freely,
We remain mindful of our sisters and brothers
in Haiti, Ukraine, the Holy Land
We pray to the Lord.
For food, for clean water, for hope for all,
We pray to the Lord.
For eyes to see Jesus and ears to hear his message,
We pray to the Lord.
For integrity and honesty in our prayer and our actions,
We pray to the Lord.
For a willingness to embrace conversion and change
For strength and courage when the journey is painful,
We pray to the Lord.
For all who have died,
