Twenty-Third Sunday in Ordinary Time

For our Church,
Root us, O Lord, in the wisdom of your gospel,
Send us your Spirit of courage to guide to remain faithful to your will.
We pray to the Lord.

For the leaders of nations,
may they turn from the folly of war and the ruin of poverty,
to aid their people in peace, prosperity, and safety.
We pray to the Lord.

For a world filled with mercy, compassion and patience,
For peace in Ukraine, Gaza, Haiti and all places of conflict.
We pray to the Lord.

For an end to human trafficking, domestic violence,
intimidation and slavery in all its forms.
We pray to the Lord.

For all who hunger for food and freedom,
For clean water, justice and safety.
We pray to the Lord.

For the willingness to place the ways of the Lord before all else in our lives,
For an openness to change and grow to be more like Christ.
We pray to the Lord.

For all who have died,

may they rest in the loving arms of God.
We pray to the Lord.
