Twenty – First Sunday in Ordinary Time

For a Church that leads with mercy, integrity and compassion.
We pray to the Lord.

For world leaders and all who seek political office,
may they use their power in service to the common good,
not self-glorification, or the blind quest for domination.
We pray to the Lord.

For victims of flood, hurricane, earthquake, fire and famine,
for all who long for food, clean water and a safe place to call home.
We pray to the Lord.

For all whose hearts are made hard
by pain, bitterness or anger.
We pray to the Lord.

For freedom for all people,
for an end to prejudices that block opportunities
for an openness to hear the experiences of others,
for love of all people.
We pray to the Lord.

For rescue workers, missionaries, social workers,
for foster parents, counselors and health care workers,
for all who offer their lives to care for others.
We pray to the Lord.
