Twenty – Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time
For your Church,
In the midst of voices spouting hatred, meanness and negativity,
May we proclaim your gospel of hope, love and compassion.
We pray to the Lord.
For world leaders,
May they reject jealousy, envy and self-ambition,
Preferring wisdom, mercy and righteousness.
We pray to the Lord.
For food and shelter
for immigrants and refugees.
For our poor,
And for all who must leave their homes to find safety.
We pray to the Lord.
For the demise of war and terrorism and a strengthening of peace through justice.
We pray to the Lord.
For a willingness to serve others,
For hearts in solidarity with those judged to be the least among us.
We pray to the Lord.
For victims of human trafficking, domestic violence and rape,
For an end to aggression and hostility in all its forms.
We pray to the Lord.

And all who have died,
May they rest in peace.
