may the church listen to the joy and hope, grief and anguish of our time
and serve in holiness, humility and integrity.
We pray to the Lord.
For the love of justice, may rulers, presidents and representatives
seek the common good, with a preferential option for our poor.

learn to treasure their unique value and gifts.

For the love of neighbor,
may all people, of all races, genders, orientations, abilities,
nations, languages and cultures,
know respect, dignity, justice and all-embracing love.
