Pianos can go out of tune due to weather fluctuations, stretched strings, moving the piano, or the age of the piano. While church pianos are tuned regularly, there will still be times that a guitarist needs to tune to the piano to ensure the instruments sound good when playing together. In this video, Steve Petrunak demonstrates the basics for tuning a guitar to a piano.
