Thirty – Third Sunday in Ordinary Time

For our Church,
for courage to live the gospel,
proclaiming truth to power
with hearts and hands open to all in need.
We pray to the Lord.

For peace, for justice,
for our sisters and brothers
in Haiti, Ukraine, Sudan and the Middle East.
We pray to the Lord.

For an end to petty viciousness, greed and division,
for a willingness to work in community,
live in simplicity
and abide in kindness with compassion toward all.
We pray to the Lord.

For all who hunger or thirst this day,
for all who awakened in the cold, or in fear,
and for all whose hearts are hardened against them.
We pray to the Lord.

For courage in the face of trial,
for healing in times of pain.
We pray to the Lord.

For trust in the Lord, when our days are filled with darkness and doubt,
for a balm of serenity and hope.
We pray to the Lord.

For all who have died,

may their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed,
rest in peace.
