Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time

May our Church be a haven for all who are lost,
a shelter for all who feel outcast or discouraged
a safe place where the love of God embraces all people.
We pray to the Lord.

May wars end,
divisiveness and selfishness cease,
and may our world be a place of peace with justice.
We remain mindful of our sisters and brothers
in Ukraine, Haiti, Sudan, Gaza, throughout the Middle East
and all places of conflict and terror.
We pray to the Lord.

May our laws, policies and attitudes be responsive
to orphans, our homeless, refugees,
and all who struggle to find food, shelter and acceptance.
We pray to the Lord.

May the death penalty, and all forms of torture and revenge
in the United States and throughout the world, end forever.
We pray to the Lord.

May hearts be converted and transformed
to truly love God, others and ourselves.
We pray to the Lord.

May we learn and embrace compassion, empathy and forgiveness.
We pray to the Lord.

May all who have died,
(Insert Names)
live forever in the new and eternal Jerusalem.
We pray to the Lord.
