Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ

Solemnity of the Most Holy Body & Blood of Christ

Jesus, Lamb of God,
through this Eucharistic Banquet strengthen your Church
that our lives may be filled with mercy, love and peace.
We pray to the Lord.

Jesus, Bread of Life,
may hearts be opened
that refugees may find homes,
those in danger of deportation may live in safety,
the condemned may find forgiveness
and the hungry may be fed.
We pray to the Lord.

Jesus, Fire of Love,
brand into our hearts and our world, a deep respect for all people,
from every race, language and way of life.
We pray to the Lord.

Jesus, Wine of Peace
Fill all those trapped by addiction, mental illness or anger
With your balm of soothing presence,
And bring peace to our world.
We remain mindful of our sisters and brothers
in Iran, Gaza and throughout the Middle East,
in Ukraine, Sudan, Haiti and all place of war and conflict.
We pray to the Lord.

Jesus, Cup of Salvation,
restore hearts and bodies broken down by rape and abuse,
free those captured in the web of human trafficking and domestic violence.
Enfold them in your healing and hope.
We pray to the Lord.

Jesus, Manna of Ages,
feed us with the gift of wisdom, truth and courage.
Help us to speak your truth to power
and courageously protect the freedom and rights of all our sisters and brothers.
We pray to the Lord.

Jesus, Hope for all,
may those have died
(Insert Names)
through your holy Body and Blood come to everlasting life.
We pray to the Lord.
