Solemnity of the Epiphany

Solemnity of the Epiphany

Christ our Light,
ignite a fire in your Church.
Open our hands and unseal our hearts,
That we may work to fill hungry bellies and empty souls.
We pray to the Lord.

Christ our Light,
illumine our minds.
May we boldly and creatively
reach out to all those who live in darkness and pain.
We pray to the Lord.

Christ our Light,
radiate your peace in places of war and conflict,
and your hope in places of despair.
We pray to the Lord.

Christ our Light,
unleash the brightness of your truth.
May it guide the lost, give vision to the wandering,
and bring assurance to the struggling.
We pray to the Lord.

Christ our Light,
enlighten all who prefer hatred to love,
uniformity to unity
and dominance to equality.
We pray to the Lord.

Christ our light,
shine blessings on those who this day know more sorrow than solace,
more discrimination than justice,
more scarcity than abundance.
We pray to the Lord.

Christ our light,
shape our parish community.
May we glow with your compassion,
beckoning our neighbors into the arms of your love.
We pray to the Lord.

Christ our Light,
bestow the brilliance of the resurrection on
(Insert Names)
and all who now live in death.
May they sing with the angels their Christmas song of joy.
We pray to the Lord.
