Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God
May our Church be voice of hope for the voiceless,
A place of acceptance for the outcast,
A people of mercy for all who struggle or are burdened.
We pray to the Lord.
May leaders of nations, states and communities
Follow the light of truth,
Be filled with compassion and wisdom
And seek justice for our poor and oppressed.
We pray to the Lord.
In the coming year,
May hatred find no place in our world.
May war and acts of terror cease.
May our hungry be fed and may we all abide in peace.
We pray to the Lord.
May our belief in the true humanity of Jesus
Open our hearts to embrace and accept
all of our sisters and brothers.
We pray to the Lord.
May our belief in the true divinity of Jesus
conceive in us reverence and love
for our God who first loved us.

may we continue to reflect
on all the good things God has done
And reflect on them in our hearts.
