Solemnity of All the Saints

Solemnity of All Saints

Like Cecilia, Ephrem and Thea Bowman,
let us joyfully sing God’s praises.
We pray to the Lord.

Like Blase, Oscar Romero and John XXIII
May church leaders be a voice for the voiceless,
proclaiming justice, truth and peace.
We pray to the Lord.

Like Elizabeth of Portugal, Wenceslaus and Louis of France
May leaders of nations
guide with integrity, honesty
and hearts attuned to the needs of their people.
We pray to the Lord.

Like Dorothy Day, Francis of Assisi,
Martin de Porres and Teresa of Calcutta,
Let us serve our sick, our hungry, and our poor.
We pray to the Lord.

Like Juan Diego, Rene Goupil, and Thomas Merton
May the gospel of Christ guide us
as we face new and difficult situations in our world.
We pray to the Lord.

Like Teresa of Avila, John of the Cross and Julian of Norwich
we pray for others,
especially those who are abused, lost or oppressed.
We pray to the Lord.

Like Charles Lwanga, Lawrence Ruiz, and Kateri Tekawitha,
Let us dedicate lives in service to the gospel,
Despite persecution and hatred.
We pray to the Lord.

With Maximilian Kolbe, Edith Stein, Josephine Bakhita,
With Solanus Casey, Frederick Baraga
and all the saints,
May (Insert Names)
and all who have died
now sing in the heavenly chorus.
We pray to the Lord.
