Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time
For our Church,
for courage to proclaim the gospel of love in the midst of insult and hatred.
We pray to the Lord.
For all who lead nations, states and communities
May they prefer the wisdom of Jesus to wealth, power or prestige,
and may their hearts be open to serve and care for our most vulnerable sisters and brothers.
We pray to the Lord.
For our poor, hungry, grieving and lonely,
for solidarity with all who today live in pain or sorrow.
We pray to the Lord.
For all who are denied education or opportunity,
for an end to the prejudices that seek to bind up God’s will and call.
We pray to the Lord.
For safety for immigrants and refugees,
for healing and hope for all who live in fear.
We pray to the Lord.
For lives rooted in the gospel
for the gift of trust in the midst of change and adversity,
for a peaceful spirit amid the swirl of discord.
We pray to the Lord.
As journeys in this world end,
may (Insert Names)
and all the dead be raised to newness of life.
We pray to the Lord.
