Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time
For our Church,
may we strive to live the commands of Jesus,
preferring the struggle of discipleship
to complacency in faith.
We pray to the Lord.
For rulers of this age,
may they choose the wisdom of the Lord to guide their actions,
not the temptation of popularity, greed or selfishness.
We pray to the Lord.
For reconciliation between families, peoples and nations,
for an end to bitterness and anger, revenge and grudges.
We pray to the Lord.
For refugees and immigrants,
for victims of war and poverty,
for all our vulnerable sisters and brothers,
for lands and hands open to their needs.
We pray to the Lord.
For a willingness to live in truth, mercy and justice.
We pray to the Lord.
For those who have forgotten the Lord,
in their emptiness, may they find the God who loves them.
We pray to the Lord.
For all married couples,
may they love and honor each other
all the days of their lives.
We pray to the Lord.
For the all who have died,
(Insert Names)
may they share in the joy of Christ’s resurrection.
We pray to the Lord.
Prayer of the Faithful content may be used in whole or in part as part of the liturgy at any church, but they may not be copied and published online without prior written permission.
