Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time

May our church be a witness to mercy and forgiveness,
truth and freedom,
peace and justice for all.
We pray to the Lord.

May leaders prefer discussion over aggression
and model hearing and healing over combat and hostility.
We pray to the Lord.

For our sisters and brothers in Ukraine, Sudan, the Holy Land
for all who seek a new homeland of safety.
We pray to the Lord.

For a willingness to embrace the gospel mandate to love our enemies,
and do good to those who hate us..
We pray to the Lord.

For an end to judgment and condemnation,
for forgiveness and reconciliation.
We pray to the Lord.

For all who drive our snowplows, salt our roads,
repair our electrical lines and water mains,
for all who keep our communities safe.
We pray to the Lord.

For all who have died,

for peace in the reign of God.
