Second Sunday of Lent
When you call your Church to be a voice of peace,
A place of refuge, a community of mercy.
We pray to the Lord.
When the powers of this world rob people of their dignity,
As the people of Ukraine, the Holy Land, and throughout the world
cry out for protection, security and peace.
We pray to the Lord.
When abuse degrades, manipulates and threatens,
When addictions overshadow our choices,
When violence thrives.
We pray to the Lord.
When pain weakens our faith,
When personal comfort silences the gospel,
When voices spew hated and lies.
We pray to the Lord.
When you challenge us to face the unknown,
When all we can rely on is faith in you.
We pray to the Lord.
When our journey leads to death,
we remember (Insert Names).
We pray to the Lord.
