Prayer of the Faithful for the Second Sunday in Ordinary Time (Cycle B)
For our Church, may we have ears to hear the voice of the Lord in our midst,
We pray to the Lord.
For President Biden, Governor _______ , and all our elected officials,
For wisdom and courage to care for our country,
Especially our poor and most vulnerable sisters and brothers,
We pray to the Lord.
For all who suffer from cold weather, or who live on our streets,
For victims of storm, flood and natural disasters,
We pray to the Lord.
For immigrants, refugees and those who seek a safe homeland,
We pray to the Lord.
For all for whom the new year is filled with anxiety, fear or worry.
For those living with health concerns or journeying in hospice,
We pray to the Lord.
For humility to do God’s will and not our own,
For a willingness to grow, change and be shaped by the gospel,
We pray to the Lord.
For all who have died,
For (insert names)
May eternal life be theirs,
We pray to the Lord.
