Second Sunday in Ordinary Time

For the Church,
For a spirit of unity as we rejoice in our blessed diversity.
We pray to the Lord.

For the spirit of peace throughout our world.
We remain mindful of our sisters and brothers
in Ukraine, the Holy Land, Haiti, Sudan, and all places of war and terror.
We pray to the Lord.

For a mantle of protection
for all who sleep in shelters and on our streets,
For all in danger from the wildfires in California,
For food, warmth, safety and hope.
We pray to the Lord.

For an end to jealousy
and a spirit of appreciation for our different gifts, talents, dreams and visions.
We pray to the Lord.

For a spirit of love and respect for all people,
speaking all languages, with various customs and abilities,
From conception to natural death.
We pray to the Lord.

For a spirit of prayerfulness and quiet to hear the voice of God.
We pray to the Lord.

For all the dead,
For (Insert Names)
And for a spirit of comfort for those who mourn.
We pray to the Lord.
