Second Sunday in Lent

We pray for our church,
for the gift to envision the gospel of love alive in our world,
for the courage to act in truth and righteousness.
we pray to the Lord.

We pray for our world
for food, clean water and justice for all people
for peace in Ukraine, the Middle East, Sudan, Haiti and all places of conflict.
we pray to the Lord.

We pray for a change of heart,
may the quest for domination,
the lust for power,
the trust in violence and weapons, cease.
we pray to the Lord.

We pray for all who are victims of assault of body, mind, or spirit,
for victims of bullying, human trafficking and poverty.
we pray to the Lord.

We pray for an end to bitterness, hatred, prejudice and discrimination.
we pray to the Lord.

We pray for our Elect and candidates,
May the Lord draw near to them as they journey to the Easter sacraments.
we pray to the Lord.

We pray for all who have died,
For (Insert Names) and all who have no one to pray for them.
we pray to the Lord.
