Nineteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Nineteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

In humility, may your Church listen to your Word
and learn your way of compassion, forgiveness and mercy.
We pray to the Lord.

Transform hardened hearts and unlock coffers of the stingy and miserly,
That workers may earn just wages and benefits,
That our farmers and all who work the land may receive fair prices,
That all people may have health care, nourishment and hope.
We pray to the Lord.

Remove bitterness, fury, anger, shouting and reviling,
From our hearts, our leaders, our friends, our world.
We pray to the Lord.

Help us cease our murmuring and grumbling,
Choosing instead to imitate Christ and live in love.
We pray to the Lord.

When the journey seems too long,
Feed our hungry, our lost, our searching,
With bread for our bodies, minds and souls.
We pray to the Lord.

Teach us to be kind to one another.
Help us to seek understanding and a way of peace together.
We pray to the Lord.

Bread of Life,
Bring (Insert Names)
And all who have died to your eternal banquet.
We pray to the Lord.

Prayer of the Faithful content may be used in whole or in part as part of the liturgy at any church, but they may not be copied and published online without prior written permission.
