Fourth Sunday of Lent

Remove the reproach of our sins from your Church,
And count not our trespasses against us.
Hold us in your mercy.
We pray to the Lord.

Reconcile your world.
Remove bitterness, prejudice, mistrust and hatred.
End the war and terrorism.
Plant seeds of peace in place of destruction.
We pray to the Lord.

Melt cold hearts, heal broken hearts,
Enflame our hearts with the fire of your love.
We pray to the Lord.

Guide into the embrace of our community,
The lonely, lost and all who yearn for a place of acceptance.
We pray to the Lord.

Unbind the chains of all trapped
in addiction’s snare,
in self-righteousness,
in the grasp of the quest for power and control.
Loose the bindings which choke off new possibilities.
We pray to the Lord.

Draw near to all who have died,
(Insert Names)
May they now sing a new song with the angels and saints.
We pray to the Lord.
