Fourth Sunday of Advent (A)

Fourth Sunday of Advent (A)

Come, O Wisdom. Fill your Church.
to us the path of knowledge show
and teach us to walk in your ways of truth and justice.
We pray to the Lord.

Come, O Lord of Might,
in your mighty power protect our vulnerable ones:
our poor, hungry and who are victims of the greed and oppression.
We pray to the Lord.

Come O Root of Jesse,
may we live by your ancient command
to love you above all things,
and to love one another and ourselves.
We pray to the Lord.

Come, O Key of David,
unlock our stubborn hearts and minds.
Free us from addictions to conformity and complacency.
Use us to build your new world,
where all people are cherished and free.
We pray to the Lord.

Come, O Morning Star,
shine your light on those who struggle in depression,
Feel alone and lost,
or live in the shadow of abuse, abandonment or pain.
We pray to the Lord.

Come, O Desire of Nations,
bind into one the hearts of humankind.
bid our sad divisions cease,
and be our King of Peace.
We pray to the Lord.

Come, O Emmanuel,
gather (Insert names)
and all who have died to your eternal home.
We pray to the Lord.
