First Sunday of Advent – Cycle C
May our Church abound in love for one another and for all.
We pray to the Lord.
May our world eradicate fear, espouse justice,
And embrace our poor, weak and hungry.
We pray to the Lord.
May our refugees find homes,
may hearts be not hardened against them in their need.
We pray to the Lord.
May leaders not be ensnared by the lure of power, of money or fame,
But remain vigilant in the way of Christ.
We pray to the Lord.
May the burdens of daily life not blind us, bind us or frighten us.
May we remain confident and committed to the Gospel.
We pray to the Lord.
May we be willing to let ourselves be transformed, renewed,
and sanctified by God.
