First Sunday in Lent

We pray for our Church,
for wisdom to lead for righteousness,
for courage to proclaim truth to power,
we pray to the Lord.

For a world where bigotry has no place,
for a nation filled with liberty and justice for all,
we pray to the Lord.

For courage to trust in forgiveness, mercy and hope,
we pray to the Lord.

For our catechumens and candidates,
for the grace of the Spirit as a companion on their journey
we pray to the Lord.

For an end to hatred, bitterness, hunger and strife,
for peace,
we pray to the Lord.

For a willingness to welcome all people,
for an openness to acceptance and love,
we pray to the Lord.

For the all who have died,

we pray to the Lord.
