When singing music from other languages and cultures, it’s important to honor those cultures with authentic expression in cultural music. This includes not only correct pronunciation of the language, but of the dialect as well. Authenticity, preparation, good intentions, and the spirit in which we sing cultural music makes all the difference for the congregation to accept and embrace it.
