A Prayer for the Final Weeks of Lent

Lord of the journey,
the 40 days are drawing to a close
and the Sacred Triduum looms ahead of us.

We have stumbled and fallen. We have strived and tried.
We have journeyed as a people longing for hope and healing.

Lent has made us see more clearly our sins and imperfections
but we know that you are the Almighty God of passion and resurrection.

In a world that remains enamored
with the darkness and division,
hatred and bitterness,
May our celebration of your victory over death
break down walls of silent sadness and pain
to herald your light, truth, justice, and peace.

Let our voices boldly sing your praise.
